QuestionWe like to know what would be the best way to trim back our Variegated Ginger Lily.
AnswerHi Harry,
Thanx for your question. You can prune the plant as needed to maintain neatness but bear in mind that the variegated ginger blooms off of older growth so you probably don't want to prune to extensively. Trim off old, dying or diseased portions of the plant. This lily will not bloom in areas that experience some frost as the frost can kill the plant back to the ground. If frost is not an issue for you, you can probably get away with trimming a bit more aggressively if you think it is necessary. I hope this helps.
