QuestionMy black-eyed susans don't look healthy. The flower on them looks great but the leaves are all dead. I water them but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can you help me. They are my husbands favorite as well as mine. Thanks

Thanx for your question. Black-eyed Susans are prone to powdery mildew and other types of fungi which can turn the leaves brown and wilt them down. Try to water only at ground level and make sure the plants aren't too crowded. Overcrowding causes growth of these fungi. Some years are worse than others for the plants especially if it has been uncommonly wet. I hope this helps.
