QuestionI planted 3 Coral Bells 2 years ago. They are suppose to have red flowers. They send up plenty of shoots, but they never flower. The flower shoots just witherup and die. The rest of the plant seems heathy and keeps its dark green color. They have done this both the first year the then this year. They get late afternoon sun for 3-5 hrs daily. Is there anything I can do or what am I doing wrong.
Thanks Brandon
AnswerHi Brandon,
Thanx for your question. Coral bells (Heuchera) will thrive in part shade but they are not getting enough sunlight if they are only getting 3-5 hours. They flourish best in full sun. Probably the reason your blooms are failing. I'd move the plants to more sunlight. I hope this helps.
