QuestionHi
I want to order daylilies online but they only ship them during September, or May. So should I order them during September so that the roots can settle in, or May incase they might die over winter?
Thanks
AnswerHello Arjun
Thank you for your question.
September would be a good time to order and plant your daylilies. The soil will still be warm from the summer at that time of year and your new plants will get a good chance of putting down some strong roots before the colder weather. Daylilies do die down for the winter, but are totally hardy and will re-appear in the spring.
