QuestionMy neighbor just thinned out her flower beds and gave me a large number of daffodil bulbs. She told me I could plant them now (July, Wisconsin). I'm thinking I should wait until fall (late Sept./Oct.). What would be the best to do? If I wait until fall, how should I store the bulbs until then? Thanks.
AnswerHi Winnie,
Thanx for your question. You can plant daffodil bulbs now if you like. No harm will come to them. Or, you can wait until the fall, anytime before the first frost. You can even plant after the first frost as long as you can work the soil (if you have to). If you want to store them until fall, place them in a netted bag, so they can breathe. Keep them dry and in a cool, dark place. I hope this helps.
