QuestionWhy don't my aztec llilies bloom? They bloomed last year when I got them. They are in a container in a shady spot.
AnswerHi Janet
OK - your lilies flowered the year you planted them because they were already 'primed' to flower.
Lilies like to be in sun or partial shade and I believe that your's are sulking because they are in shade! Also, any plant in a pot needs to be watered every day and feed regularly - a general plant feed will be OK, and remember to change the compost every couple of years so that diseases don't get a chance to build up.
So - water, feed and place your lilies in a sunny spot - there's nothing like a bit of tender, loving care!
Good luck.
