QuestionI have 5 large (36""x 24") single stem plants that showed up in my garden last
fall, and wintered over in Zone 5 . THe leaves resemble a lamb's ear, but it is
very tall and showy with one flower coming out the center. ANy ideas?
AnswerHi Gretchen,
Thanx for your question. It sounds like mullien and I think that is Verbascum thapsus. It is considered a wild flower in some states and a weed in others. The leaves in the beginning often resemble the fuzzy lamb's ears. Here is a link to Google Images that might be helpful to you. I hope this helps.
