QuestionI planted some coreopsis last summer and they did well. I cut them back in the fall and most of them came back this spring. Something is eating holes in the leaves and I can't see any signs of pests. Any suggestions?
AnswerHi Bill,
Thanx for your question. Check very closely, you may have tiny aphids. Also, snails or slugs could be feeding on the leaves at night. If you notice aphids which will be tiny green, black, yellow, white or red and usually you can find them in groups, you can treat the plant with horticultural soap or even just spray them off with the garden hose. Here is a link for controlling slugs and snails.

I hope this helps.
