Will Asian lillies grow and/or thrive in Zone 9 and, if so, how best to care for them and where to plant?

Hi Marilyn,
Thank you for your question.  Asiatic lilies are hardy from Zones 3-10 so you should have no problem getting the Asiatics to flourish in your area.  Plant them in full sun.  The emerge when the ground starts warming up.  They are relatively carefree and beautiful plants.  Here's a link to the University of Minnesota which gives some great information on growing and caring for Asiatic lilies including fertilizer, etc.  I hope this helps.
