I live in Jacksonville, Florida and would like to start a cala lily garden. What type of soil should I plant in and how much sunlight should they get daily?

Hi Amy,
Calla lilies should be planted in average to above average soil (you can amend with well-composted manure for Florida's sandy soils).  Make sure the plant gets full sun to partial sun.  They will tolerate partial sun.  Keep watered during periods of drought.  They should be watered well, once a week when you have not had a regular rain.  I hope this helps.
