Pachysandra dying after many good years, why?

Question

Pachysandra
Tom,
I live in the wooded country side of lower CT. I have loads of pachysandra growing healthy in the woods and around my house & property. I have one large section that is recently dying off (it started dying last year), while right next to it other plants are thriving. Attached is a picture (the good section is in the front and dying ones in the rear of the picture). It all gets the same amont of some sun & shade and has been heathly for many years.  Why did it happen? What can I do to bring it back? Or should I dig it up and transplant healthy pachysandra from my woods with new soil? Thanks Ray

Answer
Hi Ray,
Thanx for your question.  Sounds like leaf blight but have a look at this link from Cornell University and let me know if this is it.  If it is not, I'll keep looking.
thx,
Tom
