Questionmy stella de oro daylilly is not blooming. I live outside of St. Louis, MO but actually live in Illinois. This is the 3rd year I've had them they have always bloomed before but last year was very weak and this year they are not even looking like they are getting a bud to bloom. What can I do?? Please help.
AnswerHi Cat,
Thanx for your question. Every three years you should dig the plant up and divide it. That means separating the tangled rhizomes into separate plants and space them out. I believe your plants have gotten too crowded. Currently, (I'm in KC) we're having a cool spring which is slowing down the bloom and growth of lilies and other plants but I think yours are too crowded. I hope this helps.
