QuestionI have an area between lawn and adjoining woods that recieves about 1-2 hours of morning sunlight a day. The soil is gravely, I have raked lots of little stones out of it and water occasionally for the hostas that are in there. I'm wondering if you can recommend some perennials for an area such as this? Thanks for any help.
AnswerHi Jim,
Thanx for your question. For a shady area like you describe I'd like to add lily-of-the-valley, ferns, wood poppy, crested iris, columbines, hardy geranium, polemonium, lungwort, comfrey, toad lily, astilbe, asarum, lysimachia. I hope this helps.
