QuestionHi Tom.
How do I care for my Hydrangea.
I live on Vancouver Island. Canada.
Thanks Yvonne
AnswerHi Yvonne,
Thanx for your question. If your hydrangea is 'Sweet Dreams' it is a lacecap and what many consider a "florist hydrangea'. These are the hydrangeas typically given as Mother's Day or birthday gifts or as potted plants from the grocery store or florist. They do not do well as a houseplant. Eventually, they will fade and die. If they do survive they probably won't bloom or the blooms will be disappointing. Sometimes they can be grown outdoors if you have a mild climate. Here is a link that you will find a lot of information that will help you with your hydrangea. Be sure to access the part of the link concerning lace caps. I hope this helps.
Tom
