QuestionI recently bought several Pot Mums to use as a CenterPiece and then to plant outside. I was wondering how tall they will get? The tag doesn't specify. I need to know this, so I can correctly pick a spot to plant them. Thanks
AnswerHi Kathy,
Thanx for your question. Pot mums will generally stand about 15-18 inches tall. Some are not hardy in certain zones. The best thing to do to ensure vitality is to plant them outdoors in a hole a bit deeper than their current depth. Side dress with composted manure and make sure they receive one inch of water per week. They should be planted 30-45 days before the first frost. It helps to break up the root ball and untangle any knotted roots. The benefit from full sun but will grow in partial sun. I hope this helps.
