QuestionA large clump of crabgrass has taken over one of my stella d'oro daylilies. The daylilies are dormant now, but the clump of grass is still green and thriving. Is there any way to kill the grass without harming the daylily?
AnswerHi Janet,
Thanx for your question. Dig up the whole clump and remove the crab grass, replant and give it some mulch to protect it from the freezing temperatures. You can wait until spring to do this or if you do not anticipate your soil freezing too deeply, do it now but as I said, put down some mulch. I hope this helps.
