Question
I have been growing canna lilies in a large pot on my balcony (Long Island NY) we leave for Florida in November and I wish to store the rhizomes for use next April. What is best way to over-winter them and reuse in April

Hi Louis,
  Since they are in a pot, can the pot be brought indoors to a place that will be about 50-65 degrees and dark and dry?
 If that is not the case, dig them up and brush the dirt off and put them in a box or paper bag and store in a dark, cool place over the winter.
