Question Our bittersweet vines, grown on wires, are approximately 10 years old. We have had georgous vines and berries for many years. Two years ago, we had no berries. This mid summer we were thrilled to see more berries than ever. One day we went out for a look, and the berries were all on the ground. The vines look healthy and beautiful. Why do you think the berries are failing? The wires are suspended between railroad ties, and are thick impressive. I give away bundles every fall, except last year and this year. We are so disappointed!
Thank you.

AnswerHi LauraBelle,
I looked through all my notes and books and research and I haven't a clue why they fell off. You should call your local County Extension Office and ask for the gardening specialist. Hopefully they will be able to help you.
I have a lot of vines and have seen the Bittersweet--very nice looking!
