QuestionI have four fuschias which I wintered over and have a lot of new growth, yet no buds on them. I added some bloom food about 10 days ago and still waiting. Again they seem healthy with a lot of new green leaves. Two are upright and two are hanging. It's nearly mid July and I would have thought they would have buds by now.
AnswerHi Janet,
Thanx for your question. Fuchsias benefit from a good pruning in late winter while they are semi-dormant. I have a webpage for you here from the University of Minnesota which shows how to prune the plant. Your blooms will come from vigorous new growth. I hope this helps.
