QuestionThis is my 2nd year with these daisies. They started from one tiny and I mean tiny plant with one lonely daisy and this year the plant is almost 4 foot high with hundreds of daisies all over. My question is there are these tiny black dots that are appearing all over the white petals. When the bloom opens up there are no dots but give it a day or two and there are numerous black dots all over the white. I don't see any bug "holes" so I am trying to figure out if this is caused by some sort of fungas or a tiny bug that I am just not seeing. If you could tell me how to treat it also I would appreciate it!
AnswerHi Tami,
Thanx for your question. It doesn't sound like an insect or mite infestation. It sounds like a fungal infection and it will probably be hard to treat.
First, make sure you water at the base of the plant instead of on top. Secondly, if the plants seem crowded, thin them out. Fungal disases do well on crowded plants.
There are some anti-fungals available at your nursery or DIY and you can try that.
I hope this helps.
