Question
I have many flowers and they are not all perennials some are annuals, and I am very confused on how and which ones I am supposed to dead head. This is my very first time planting flowers and I am not so sure if some that I have planted are even supposed to be in a pot. I have Gerber daisies, Hardy Ice Plants, Roses, Clematises, Lantana, Inpatients, and many, many others, please help?

Hi Ashley,
Thanx for your question.  Unless you are saving seeds, feel free to remove the spent blooms of your plants in order to make them look neater.  All of the flowers you mentioned can be grown successfully in a container.  To dead head a flower, just pinch if off at the stem.  I hope this helps.
