QuestionLast year my Mom passed away In WV. I brought her peony to South Carolina and planted it. The plant is beautiful. Full green foliage. My problem is that it buds, but the bud does not open. It turns black. what do I do? Help! thank You
AnswerHi Judi,
Thanx for your question. Generally, you can count on peonies not blooming for 2-3 seasons after the transplant. Don't worry, they should bloom next year or the third season. The rhizomes resent movement and although it won't kill them to be transplanted, they take their time blooming once moved. I hope this helps.
