QuestionI need some advise please do they need full light, can they be planted out doors as a perennial, will they survive a cold canadian winter. please advise
AnswerHi Kimberly,
Thanx for your qestion. Azaleas benefit from some shade in the Southern U.S. They are usually hardy only to warmer zones of zone 5 and should probably be mulched in the winter in the colder zones. IN the colder zones, they need direct sunlight. Where in Canada are you located? I hope this helps. Azaleas do not make good houseplants. They are perennial shrubs.
