Question
A friend has several honeysuckle bushes taking over her flower bed.  Is there a safe way to divide the bush into two seperate bushes without harming the two seperate bushes?

Hi Elda,
Thanx for your question.  Now is the best time to separate bushes.  Dig up the clumps and you can use a machete or very sharp knife, chain saw (depending upon how big the clump is) and if it is a large clump you can divide until th eroot clump is as large as what can fit in your palm.  These are hardy plants and they do divide well.  I hope this helps.
