QuestionI would like to plant just one Daylily by my mailbox just to accent it. My questions is, will the daylily double each year if only planting one and if yes, about how big can it spread, and when to you seperate? I've got a small space and need to keep it in check. Don't want it growing out of control. I've picked the Stella De Oro because of the double blooming and the fact the area is full sun.
Thank you so very much,
Dawn
AnswerHi Dawn,
Thanx for your question. Daylilies usuall will increase by one or two roots per season, sometimes more. I don't really see them as out of control. You should thin them out every 3 years. Stella D'Oro is a good choice. I hope this helps.
