QuestionI'm in zone 5 and enjoyed my coreopsis plants ouside this summer. I potted a few of the small ones and brought them inside for the winter. They bloomed and looked fine for a while..then..slowly turned brown and died out. I have been trimming off the spent blooms and watering them frequenly. Now, little ones are coming up..but I suspect they won't make it either. Any suggestions..ie..special things required..to keep a coreopsis plant inside..or are they just an "outside plant"? Thank you.
AnswerRobert, even outside the coreopsis will go through these cycles. I've never taken one indoors. They need LOTS of direct sun and heat (direct sun-6-8 hrs a day). I really don't think they would be successful as an indoor plant.
They are perennial though in your zone.
