QuestionI was advised that in order to keep a gorgeous geranium plant through the winter for next spring would be to keep it potted, near a sunny window. I've done just that, and it looks puny. Maybe I was not supposed to water it much; I cannot remember what the expert told me! After watering (I did not over-water) parts of it began to turn yellow. It is not dead; it is just yellowish and spindly looking. I really want to save this plant because I've never seen a geranium with this color variation before. Help? Thanks.
AnswerHi Pat,
Thanx for your question. It is natural for geraniums and other plants from high sun, tropical areas to go blah during our northern hemisphere winters. Don't water the plant too much, just enough to keep it alive. It will look pretty puny until the next spring when the Earth returns to our Spring position for the north. I hope this helps.
