Question
We planted our Crepe Myrtle near our garage about 4 years ago and now we realize it needs to be moved.  We'd like to transplant it into an open area so it can grow in a more suitable site.  When and how should we proceed?  We live in SE Pennsylvania near the Maryland state line.  Thank you.

Hi Gail,
Thanx for your question.  I would wait until next spring right after the last frost.  Prune the crepe myrtle back now so that it isn't large to  handle.  YOu'll have to sacrifice some blooming so you can safely and easily move it next spring.  I hope this helps.
