QuestionI was recently given a plant called China Doll. Is it a perenniel or annual? Will is grow in WV or will it die in the fall with the first frost? What about planting it in Florida? Will it thrive in Florida?
AnswerHi Pat,
Thanx for your question. I think you are talking about Radermachera sinica. In West Virginia this would be a houseplant. The plant is hardy to zones 9 and 10 so only the Southern part of Florida or Southern California. This plant is commonly sold in the U.S. as a houseplant but is actually a tree. In the wild, it is a perennial. It is not frost hardy. I hope this helps.
