QuestionI received a plant and loved the fragrance and beauty for several weeks. Now all the blooms are gone and I'm hoping I could winter it over and it might come back. Can I do that in a pot or does it have to go in the ground?
By the way, I love your credentials, but your sense of humor is priceless!
AnswerSorry, Candis, that Stargazer must get some rest this winter. It is possible, but highly improbably for several reasons, to do this indoors, in a refrigerator. A winter spent caring for this plant will find you hating Lilies by spring.
Take my advice and if you have nowhere to plant it, kiss it goodbye, and give it to someone who does. They will love you for it.
If however you are feeling like your life is completely meaningless and you need something to do with all your free time, write back, and I'll describe the care and feeding and protection and temperature requirements et cetera for these beautiful, wonderfully fragrant flowers. There is a reason they are the Number One Best Selling Lily. Thanks for writing, and even more thanks for your delightful compliments.
