I have a big fern problem i didnt plan them they just  started growing they have taken over my garden . i ve tried many over the counter things from the feed store and they seem to love it all . can u tell me what will kill them . thank u v.lee

Hi Vivian,
Sound like you have some ferns that propagate by underground runners.  It's going to be difficult to kill them without killing other plants.  You may have to remove the desirable plants temporarily and then treat the bed with Roundup several times until the ferns cease to appear and this could take a while like trying to get rid of bindweed.  Round up, I guarantee, will kill anything just about.  There are some tougher chemicals but I hesistate to advise those.  I only recommend Roundup because it  biodegrades quickly.  I hope this helps.
