QuestionQUESTION: Hello, I planted a Sungold Thread Cypress last year, actually 3 of them and one of them I have noticed a lot of brown on the underneath branches. Is there anything that I might of done wrong and should I prune those brown ones?

Sorry, I should of mentioned where I was located before. I am in Scarsdale, NY which I believe is zone 6. The plant is in a area that gets afternoon sun mostly.

Thanx for following up with me and providing me with the additional information. I don't think you've done anything wrong. I've done a lot of research and I can't tell you what is wrong. At this point, I would not do anything until you notice this condition spreading. Additionally, please contact the Cornell University Cooperative Extension Service for Westchester County (the Master Gardeners would be my choice.) You should be able to consult with them and bring a sample of the limbs. Check out the URL below. I hope this helps.
