QuestionHi, my husband and I have two potted Hibiscus trees which we keep indoors during the winter and have moved outdoors now that its warmer (we live in NW Ark). How much sunlight do these plants need? They are both approx 4 ft tall. Right now we have them under our covered patio facing East, so they are not exposed to much direct sunlight, except for a few early morning hours.
Thanks, Stephanie
AnswerHi Stephanie,
Thanx for your question. Keep your potted hibiscus shaded from full sun but outdoors for 10 days. After that, place the plants in direct sunlight and don't let them dry out and they will reward you with robust growth and beautiful blooms. A little 12-12-12 balanced fertilizer will help the plant too. You should be able to find this at most DIY stores and nurseries. I hope this helps.
