QuestionI received a huge plant of cala lilies, I can't seem to keep them perked up. I live on Long Island, and was wondering if I should keep them out during the summer?
When should I bring them in if I do?
AnswerHi Lenora,
Thanx for your question. I absolutely recommend that you give your calla lilies a summer vacation. Now that there is no danger of frost in your area, place the pot in the shade for about 7 days and then move it to full sun. You'll have to water frequently in the summer as the pot will dry out quickly. Give it a feeding of bone meal now and then later on in the summer. This should make your plant look nice. I hope this helps.
