QuestionHi Tom
Can you divide the main plant body of an Anthurium?
Thanks
Graeme
AnswerHi Graeme,
Thanx for your question.
The plant will often send up offshoots so you can divide the plant by taking it out of the pot and separating the plants and repotting them in separate pots. You can divide the plants (the off-shoots) as long as there is enough root mass around the off-shoot. The off-shoot should have a clump of roots like a regular small plant has. Sever the off-shoot from the parent plant with a clean, sharp knife dipped in a solution of 10 parts of water and 1 part of bleach. Dip the knife into this mixture each time you make a cut. I hope this helps.
