Question
I am trying to find a source for a list of unuasual perennials for my sun/shade area. I came up with a few names from internet & mailorder catalogs--I gave them to a local Nursery and he asked are they "Proven Winners"? I have no idea if they are, so I am trying to find a list of "different & unique" hardy for my area, I am located on the tri-state border of NY, NJ, PA, I believe I fall in between Zones 5 & 6. Any assistance welcomed !

Thanx for your question.  Check out Provenwinners.com.  It will explain to you what proven winners are and it has a wonderful assortment of plants that are "proven winners" or sure bets for your area.  I hope this helps.
