QuestionToday is November 29... we live on Cape Cod... yesterday our lawn maintenance people came to rake and mow (the usual pre-winter cleanup). After they left, I discovered that they had cut back all 7 of our Hydrangea plants right to the ground - only about 2 inch stubs are left. 5 of the shrubs are "Endless Summer", the other 2 are "Lace Cap". How badly have the shrubs been damaged? What can I expect next spring?

AnswerI'm going to guide you to a couple of websites:
http://www.agnr.umd.edu/users/cmrec/art4.htm
http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/county/smith/tips/trees/hydrangea.html
You might call the company and ask what they are going to do about the situation--especially if they don't grow back!
I'm all for speaking your mind and getting results!
