QuestionWhat time of year do you trim azalea bushes? How low to the ground do you cut them? I have had mine for several years and have never trimmed them. They sure do need it!
AnswerBarbara,
It's really best to trim them after they have ceased blooming in early summer or late spring. A severe trimming in the fall could result in no blooms in springtime since Azaleas set their buds in fall. You could do just a surface trim now however and they should bloom as usuaual in spring.
