what to do for winter

Question
I live in zone 3 or 4 in Ontario,Can. Could you please tell me what I should do with the following plants for the winter(have been in large pots outside all summer & are doing very well) miniature rose bush; fuschia; swedish ivy; & impatients?   The   books  I have don't say anything. Thank you very much.

Answer
I bring in all potted plants that you mentioned.  You will need to get some "Jobe's insecticide spikes" (probably at a nursery) to treat all the insects that have made a home in the soil over the summer.  I keep mine in a cool room (5-7 degreed Cel) and water them sparingly.  I have put the impatients in my south windows and they bloom all winter!!!
The mimi rose does need to go into dormancy so don't be alarmed that it kind of dies back.  They are delicate and somewhat hard to winter.

Best of luck!
