Question
My daughter in law near Allentown, Pa has a plant with leaves that look like a day lily but the flower has 3 petals and is a pinkish orchid color with white stamens coming up in the middle.  Would appreciate if you could tell me the name.  They just moved to the area and it came up this year.

Thanx for your question.  Is this plant native to your area?  How long are the leaves?  I am assuming they are sword-like, like day lily leaves.  How tall is the stem on which the flower is growing?  How big is the flower?  Are the petals flat or do they fall like an iris or extend outwards?  Is the flower completely pink or are there any other colors?  How big around is the flower?  Do you know the blooming period?  Is it a spring flower?  Summer flower?  Please post a follow up with an answer to my questions.
