when is a good time to prune a butterfly bush?

Since you don't want to interrupt the blooming cycle,you should prune Butterfly Bushes in very early spring before you see any green foliage.It is easier to see the branches when they are bare. You can also do it in late fall when the leaves falls off. It may be to late in the year right now to do it safely and still have blooms in summer.Hope this is helpful to you!
