QuestionI just moved to Kentucky from South Georgia. I am discovering that many of my favorite perennials in Georgia will not work in Kentucky (year after year anyway). Can you make some good suggestions for perennials in Kentucky? I like lots of color!
Thanks so much!
AnswerAnne,
First of all Welcome toKentucky. The weather in the summer is not much different than Georgia. The summers are not as long and of course the winters are much colder. But that is a benefit for you since now you can grow some of those spring bulbs that were impossible to grow in such warmer southern climates.
Here are some great sourcse to look at the plants and their specific growing zones.Just copy and paste these links into your browser and click "go"! Good luck and happy gardeming!
