I am moving and want a start from my very old dark purple lilac bush.
How can I do this?

Hi Joyce,
Thanx for your question.  Lilac's a famous for producing many suckers, shoots that come up close to the mother plant.  Dig down and separate these from the mother plant.  There should be plenty of roots to go with it.  I hope this helps.
