QuestionI have Lavendar bushes in with my Canna Lilies and Dahlias in a box 3' x 12'. The all three plants grew so big last year - that I want to move the Lavendar to my hillside. How careful do I have to be in transplanting them and how do I do it?
AnswerHi Peggy,
Dig up the entire plant making sure you dig deep enough to recover the whole root ball. Lavender is pretty tough and as long as you get most of the roots, it won't suffer from being moved. Be sure to dig a hole deep enough to accommodate the plant and water it heavily and give it a little miracle grow. I hope this helps.
