Lambs Ear?

Question
I recently purchased a Lamb's Ear plant. I was wondering if it can be cared for indoors during cold winter months?

Answer
Deb,
I have never tried to bring one in.Mainly because they are so winter hardy, that I have never had the need to.The "Lambs Ear" plant is one of the most reliable perennials that I know of.As a matter of fact, that one plant will produce MANY more in just a few short months if you leave it alone.Just cut off the top foliage as it turns brown, which it inevitably will, sometime around the end of November.Right now they have slowed their growth and look quite nice in cooler weather, but the undersides of the plant foliage starts to turn brown because they are so thick and light doesn't reach the insides of the plant's furry foliage, causing them to turn brown and don't be surprised if you see little black bugs around them. That is just a habit of this plant. They are great when they are at their peak,in early and mid Spring, but when summer and fall creeps in,they start to be fussy and messy looking. That is usually when I cut mine all the way back to a few inches above soil level.
I don't recommend bringing them indoors for the winter.
