QuestionI am organizing a small reunion for August 2005. I would like to put a pkg. of perennial seeds in each gift bag. Should I buy a bulk amount of seeds? How many grams will I need to make 30 small individual pkgs.? Would I be wise to wait until 2005 or could I look for a deal now? I'm VERY new to gardening so your help will be much appreciated. Thank you, Barbra
AnswerSeeds are very (most) inexpensive. Wal Mart and Lowes have really cheap prices. If you want a fancier packaged seed,Sheperds Garden Seeds(they have a web site but may be called Select seed now} have really gorgeous seed packets.I wouldn't buy it loose by bulk though.Too much work mixing it in gift bags. You can maybe put in the prepackage seed packs and a little something extra like grden plant markers to stick in soil after sewing the seed. Then put the items in little garden themed gift bags tied with rafia or something. It would be cheaper to buy a roll of material that has a garden print on it and cut them in squares and gather at the top with ribbon or rafia,or maybe find little tiny gift bags that come packaged in quantity with a garden or flower print on them.Stuff them with mossy stuff or tissue paper after bagging the items. Hope this is helpful! Have fun!
