QuestionHi Laura,
I have a clematis plant that appears to be suffering from clematis wilt. Over the course of about a week, an entire stem turned black and collapsed. Can you recommend a fungicide to help prevent and treat this problem? In my reading the name "Benomyl" keeps coming up, but I understand that it's been banned in the U.S.
Thanks!
AnswerSorry it took awhile to get back to you.I have been on vacation.Cut off the affected area. Then spray the rest of the plants leaves and stems with a fungicide.I use some from Scotts and it says it is for roses and flowers. I think they have ready to use as well as the concentrated. Hope that helps. But if it all looks bad and continues to deteriorate, then go ahread and cut it all the way back like you would in fall.
