Question
I have a flower bed containing oriental lilies,I have had the lilies for three years. When they were planted they were yellow, the first year they bloomed well all yellow. This year I have a lot of blooms but the color has changed to orange very much like my orange day lilies. What could have caused this.

Hi Leroy,
Thanx for your question.  The only thing I can think of is either a virus did this or there was some kind of genetic reversion that occurred in the bulbs during the winter.  Contact your local County Extension Service horticulturalist.  I honestly don't know how this happened.  If you need a contact, give me your state and county and I will provide your with contact info.  I hope this helps.
