I'm not sure if you're the right person to ask this question, but no other category seemed quite right. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I live in north-central Massachusetts, in a largely undeveloped area. My property is partially-cleared woodland.
I have a problem with a plant-type which is aggressively invading my cleared areas. It's either blackberry or raspberry (looks dark to me, so I think it's blackberry). It's flourishing in the areas where the uncleared woodland meets the cleared areas. It's thorny and seems to grow quickly. And it's invading the little bit of area that is cleared!
What can I do to control it?! I have a neighbor with some knowledge of local plants, and he says that he's tried two herbicides without success.
Please help!
Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanx for your question. Please tell me what county you live in in Mass. I will put you in touch with a local expert who is reliable and specializes in noxious weeds in your area. Just post a follow up with your county.
thx,
Tom
AnswerHi Steve,
I work with the Master Gardeners with the Kansas State University Cooperative Extension Service. I think the guys and gals at UMASS will be able to help you. If not, come back and I'll see what I can find.
thx,
