QuestionI planted white chrysanthemums in sunny area of my garden. The plants have grown a lot and there are numerous flowers. The problem is that when the flowers start to bloom, they turn brown and fail to fully open. I have a sprinkling system, so they get watered. I live in Central Florida, so it is already hot. Appreciate your advice. Thank you.
AnswerHi Cliff,
Thanx for your question. You only need to make sure the plants are watered once a week unless you're having a drought. It sounds like there is too much humidity and a fungus may be causing the flowers to rot. Don't water from above but water at the base of the plant. I hope this helps.
